Job Description
Medline has an immediate opening for a Senior SAP Developer Analyst. The person will be responsible for design, solution build / developments, primarily based on SAP ABAP and SAP PI/XI based application systems ensuring high performance, good code quality and resilient solutions. He / she will collaborate and coordinate closely with various other IS teams (Analysts, application teams, Scrum teams) for requirement gathering and will provide the highest level of technical expertise and consulting on SAP platforms. He / she will be also engaged in peer reviews of the other developments, effort estimations across Discovery, Design, Execution and Go-live phases of developments.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with configuration / Functional analysts on medium and high complexity programs to transform business system designs into bug-free application software.
- Designs, codes, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software and interfaces in ABAP/Odata/REST/SOAP and SAP PI, along with Open API standards.
- Works closely with Application developers and configuration analysts to review and design solutions interfacing systems and applications.
- Peer Reviews technical and functional designs for interfacing applications.
- Helps in creating end-end application testing strategies.
- Plans and executes unit test to ensure all business rules are properly covered by the application.
- Works with configuration analysts to understand business requirements and scope.
- Maps requirements to the proper technical solution.
- Follows departmental and team standards as they apply to source code control and transport management, audit and security standards.
- Displays an understanding of low-code language agnostic tools for designing APIs and test cases.
- Displays an understanding of debugging techniques when investigating issues with programs.
- Available as on-call support for critical issues during non-working hours as documented in team support schedule.
- Keeps management, other team members and other departmental employees aware of status changes as necessary.
- Uses good judgment to determine when such communication is necessary.
- Considers the need for other team members to support their areas of responsibility and openly shares an understanding of these areas.
- Ensures his/her areas of expertise are covered when absent.
Qualifications:
Skills / Experience
- Min 10 years hands on ABAP programming experience
- Excellent working knowledge on all type of RICEFW developments with good exposure on enhancement to standard SAP processes
- Experience on interfaces development using File, RFC, IDOC, BAPI, Web services, Proxy based interfaces and database connections
- Must have worked on Web Services, Idocs and Interfaces
- Should have worked on developments from SAP modules like SD, MM, FI-CO, Master Data etc.
- Should be very well aware of OData, REST and SOAP, SAP gateway
- Excellent understanding and ability to articulate object-oriented design patterns in ABAP
- Know-how of CDS and AMDP
- Knowledge of middleware like SAP PI/PO (SAP XI) and any other gateway tool will be a plus
- Strong attention to details
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill
- Four-year degree with a specialization in Computer science / Electronics with good academics
- Certification in SAP Application Development / object oriented programming languages are preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
