Job Overview
Komatsu is currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician for our Forestry Equipment Team.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Primary focus is maintaining a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis.
- Work both independently and with others on a team.
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs and component replacement on equipment in the shop or in the field.
- Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and timecards in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers.
- Clean tools, clean equipment, paint and grease equipment as needed.
- Prevent damage due to mistakes or carelessness to equipment or materials.
- Respond to all customer requests in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
- Any other duties as appropriate and required. Flexibility with travel based on needs and overall company objectives.
Compensation and Benefits
If selected for employment, you will be eligible for:
- $35.00 - $40.00 an hour base pay (w/ 5+ hours of projected weekly overtime pay), plus annual merit compensation review and bonus payout.

Qualifications/Requirements
- 1 year of experience in similar type role.
- Experience with LeTourneau log stackers is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced trade mathematics.
- Ability to interpret and understand complicated drawings, specifications, charts and tables; use all varieties of precision measuring instruments; and follow troubleshooting procedures.
- Possess a valid driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and conduct physical job requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to become forklift and crane task trained

The Komatsu North America Mining Distribution and Service group is a critical part of our Komatsu global organization. We, sell, install, service, provide parts and rebuild equipment, as well as provide digital solutions for our customers.
