Requisition Number: 2023-326 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Int Med Oncology/Hematology 50000591 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: BMT Oncologist/ Leukemia Focus The Division of Hematology & Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, is actively recruiting a compassionate, patient-focused and collegial physician to join our faculty in the subspecialty of Cellular Therapy with a focus on leukemia. We are committed to providing the best treatment available today and discovering and evaluating new therapies for the future. This is an exciting opportunity to join more than 200 oncologists, translational and basic scientists working together fusing science and medicine to speed up breakthroughs in the lab and deliver state of the art care to patients. Opportunity Highlights T he state-of-the-art Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center is an NCI designated cancer center Collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient Member of the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium Potential to serve as Principal Investigator or Co-investigator clinical trials and participate in research focused interdisciplinary teams Community Highlights: Omaha is rated by Forbes magazine as one of the top five best cities to raise a family Cost of living is less than the national average Thriving arts and entertainment scene Home of the NCAA Men's College World Series and the world-renowned Henry Doorly Zoo The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified in internal medicine and BC/BE in medical oncology and/or hematology.
