Overview
We are a Healthcare Data Analytics company looking for a Manager Software Engineering. In this role you will lead, direct, and manage the day-to-day operations of software engineers. You will manage all the operational aspects of the software development to ensure business and project objectives are met and delivered on time. You will provide administrative, technical, and people leadership for multiple, diverse, and geographically distributed teams. You are responsible for providing feedback to the team and individuals on their performance.
Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan as well as special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure engineers follow the defined Cotiviti SDLC standards.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for the issues encountered and make sure that permanent fix is applied.
  • Continuously look for process improvement and optimization opportunities keeping the big picture in mind that can help reduce delivery time and operational cost for the organization.
  • Participate in requirement collection, architectural discussions and collaborate with team members to maintain consistency across the products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automation and quality improvement.
  • Provide regular update to management and peers about the ongoing project and enhancements.
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partner with enterprise data operations teams, and engineering to deliver scalable and robust data solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong strategic and tactical leadership, motivation and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • 2+ years engineering team management experience.
  • 2+ years experience architecting new and existing systems.
  • 7+ years of experience leading development projects using object-oriented development languages, ETL, or data warehousing, including team management.
  • 7+ years experience with Java and related technologies such as Kubernetes, Maven, Git.
  • 3+ years experience with Oracle or equivalent RDBMS database applications.
  • 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment with preference to an Enterprise Agile Framework such as SAFe.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and follow up communication skills.
  • Strong drive todelivertangible value even when faced with ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with healthcare data preferably in a data operations role.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $175,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
