Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. The Engineering Technician will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our hotel's physical infrastructure and systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment and facilities.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and facility emergencies.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintain adequate stock levels for maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in engineering or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and colleagues professionally.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
