Job Description – Supply Chain

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and approve purchase orders for parts required for production and/or local facilities.

  • Manage part deliveries, expedited, rescheduled, and canceled orders to meet production demand.

  • Make transportation arrangements for orders and ensure compliance with corporate transportation guidelines.

  • Work with suppliers and other internal teams to manage the root cause and corrective actions for inventory shortages.

  • Assist the coordination of returns of parts to suppliers as needed.

  • Work with suppliers to perform department specific quoting as needed.

  • Manage supplier invoices, including the resolution of any pricing and receiving discrepancies.

  • Authorize payment of invoices

  • Performs other recordkeeping duties. 

  • All other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  •  4-year Degree preferred.

- OR -

  •  High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    •  Experience required:

    •  External: 7 years applicable experience.

    •  Internal: 6 years applicable experience with at least 2 of those years with Altec, Supply Chain Functions preferred.

- AND -

  • Microsoft Office suite experience required.

  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts required.

  • ERP system experience preferred.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
