We are seeking a(an) Special Procedures Technician for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures and provide diagnostic aid by using fluoroscopic equipment to conduct scans on patients according to established practices and standards. In addition:

  • You must prepare equipment, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area.
  • You are expected to render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Explain all procedures to the patient. Performs physical assessment by checking IV’s, catheters, tubing, etc.
  • You will assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously.
  • You are responsible for maintaining sterile technique during Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Real-time review of scans for technical accuracy (i.e. technical quality, correct anatomical positioning, annotation, etc…).
  • You must complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner.

 Requirements:

  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT Certified (Cardiovascular/Interventional certification preferred)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Training and experience in special procedures
