This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands

Essential Functions

• Process messages and alerts from AMHS, NIPRNet, SIPRNet and AUTODIN.
• Observe and maintain circuit status and originate troubleshooting of circuits as required.
• Operate secure facsimile and secure phones.
• Abide by all applicable security regulations at all times.
• Participate in and provide training to advance skill level and knowledge base of subordinates and co-workers alike.
• Participate in cross training of other Communication Technician duties related to Tech Control functions in order to backfill during periods of staffing shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Competent in MSOffice Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Familiarity with basic computer networking terms and usage.
• Experience with AMHS, AUTODIN and/or DCCS systems.
• Familiarity with JANAP and ADCCP messaging formats.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years experience which includes use of computers and MS Office products.
• Two (2) years of college or technical school, desired.
• Two years of experience in a military Telecommunications Center with AMHS and/or AUTODIN, desired.
• CompTIA Security+ certification, desired
• Commercial or military training in communications theory and operation, desired.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department as well as with the wider RGNext business community and other external/internal customers.
• Must be willing to work any shift 24 x 7.
• This position is unaccompanied.
• Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
• Current DoD Secret clearance required or one that has been active within the past two years, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
