Web Designer - Military Veterans

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Web Designers interested in joining our team in the Washington, DC metro area and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this role you will deliver world class solutions to Unisys’ customer. You will use your experience to deliver web solutions using the latest technologies for a large enterprise customer.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

• Designs and builds web sites using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.
• Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special effects elements.
• Contributes to the design group’s efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization’s on-line offerings.
• Designs the website to support the organization’s strategies and goals relative to external communications.
• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code (such as HTML, XML, and Javascript) for components of the website.
• Works with graphic designers and other members of a project team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website.
• Responsible for interface implementation. Requires strong navigation and site design instincts.
• Provides technical advice and consultation on complex web applications.
• Organizes and directs the execution of web projects.

Position Requirements:

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Minimum ability to obtain public trust clearance, Secret or higher clearance a plus

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Relevant certifications a plus

Must have demonstrated capability for oral and written communications

Ability to work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.

Expert level knowledge and experience with web site design

Expert level knowledge and experience with some or all of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, VB.NET, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, ADO, ADO.NET, SQL TSQL, PL/SQL and Visual Studio.

Must have excellent communication skills
