Communication Specialist - Military Veterans

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Communication Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC, to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 

Position Summary:

In this role you will be responsible for establishing and managing communications plans that identify target audiences, appropriate messages, activities, and resources needed for effective communication, and effective communications plan for change management, incorporate multiple channels to manage expectations and disseminate project progress; responsible for developing strategic communications, products and key messages for communicating broad IT initiatives, actions and programs.

Responsibilities:  

• Works closely with Project Manager on development and implementation of communication plans.
• Manages submissions and responses to communications requirements.
• Implements targeted tactics for addressing negative perceptions.
• Prepares ongoing PMO materials such as briefings, inquiries, reports, documents and other core program campaigns. 
• Provide materials to client for communicating program wants, needs, expectations, benefits, etc. 
• Manages ongoing tracking, reporting, and analysis of communications interactions.
• Manages inbound and outbound communication and responds to inquires to provide appropriate information.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing or business is preferred and minimum 5 years of related analyst relations experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation, facilitation and diplomatic skills.
