Sr. Network Engineer - Military Veterans

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Sr. Network Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Experience in network infrastructure installation and support. Must possess strong knowledge of hybrid cloud network technologies. Ability to install, configure and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructures. Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including technical documentation and demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations to Federal Customers.

Perform installation and integration of complex LAN/WAN solution for multiple sites to support Federal field site customers. Perform ongoing network maintenance and diagnostics for this solution, including troubleshooting of network issues and necessary network changes to support customer needs. Work with Office of the CIO engineering director, O&M director, Security Team, engineers, support staff, and field site IT and government staff to meet these objectives. Work with external vendors in implementing and supporting connectivity and network services.

Position Requirements:

• US Citisenship with secret clearance Extensive experience with networking components (routers, switches, firewalls, passive infrastructure). 

   

• Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) network services (DNS/BIND, DHCP, VPN’s,), Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPsec, L2TP), WAN protocols and services (HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay, TLS, DMVPN) as well as network protocols (HTTP(S), SMTP, SNMP, NTP) 
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (CiscoWorks, protocol analyzers, Netflow, PRTG, SolarWinds or equivalent)
• Associate's Degree plus minimum of 7 years experience.
• US Citizen with secret clearance
