Performance/Load Test Engineer - Military Veterans

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Performance/Load Test Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

As the Performance/Load Test Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a combination of performance engineering and manual/automation testing engineering role. You must have hands-on coding and load/performance testing experiences using HP Loadrunner. You will foremost be the load/performance test expert within the team. You will work closely with agile development and operation teams to characterize and drive performance improvement of the applications. Core responsibilities require expertise in Java and in the continued building and maintaining of a comprehensive performance automation test suite and automation test framework.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and test scenarios
• Execute various types of performance testing in order to measure and analyze system performance (e.g., response times, transaction rates, yield point) and verify the system’s ability to meet established performance requirements
• Monitor system level statistics during performance test executions and analyze performance test results
• Support implementation and maintenance of performance testing tools
• Work closely with development and operations teams to proactively analyze, identify, and fix performance test issues
• Enhance and expand our current test architecture and framework, driving maintenances, improvements and innovations in our performance testing process and methodology
• Work closely with other manual and automation testing engineers and provide support to the entire team’s needs (up to 50% of your assignment) 

Position Requirements:

• Thoroughly understand the testing and testing automation principles, methodologies

   

• Hands-on Java development experience
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools HP Loadrunner (prefer HP SiteScope for Load Testing and HP Shunra Network Virtualization experience)
• 3+ years of experience in hands-on automated performance and load testing
• Deep experiences with Unix/Linux and shell scripting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of with App services (Tomcat, WebLogic) strongly preferred
• Proficient with Oracle database SQL
• Experience working in an Agile development methodology preferred
• Working experience in CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo, GIT
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Master's degree and minimum 10 years of overall experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.

• United States citizenship
• CBP-BI Clearance or ability to obtain one.
