We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented WINDOWS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR to join our team at Hill AFB, Utah, to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.
Microsoft Windows Systems Administrator provides technical and security support in a large 24x7 data center environment. Systems administrators maintain operational stability and evaluate Windows operating environments for Cybersecurity compliance. This includes the identification, tracking and change management coordination for vulnerabilities across the enterprise as well as patching and remediating known vulnerabilities across the landscape. Systems administrators also assist with plans of action and mitigation for IA vulnerabilities that cannot be immediately closed.
In this position you will:
- Administer Windows Servers in a large Department of Defense data center
- Secure and maintain Windows servers using the latest US Cybercom and DISA STIG guidance
- Operational support for Windows landscape in cluding storage, backup, recovery and construction.
- Perform Information Assurance scans on fresh build or updated Windows operating environments.
- Develop mitigation plan for vulnerabilities that cannot be immediately remediated.
- Maintain and update vulnerability database per client requirements.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
- High level of the Windows Operating system theoretical and technical experience.
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues with the Windows Server operating environment.
- Other areas of expertise should include, but are not limited to, system administration, performance tuning, Veritas backup solutions, VMWARE, Host Based Security System (HBSS) and DISA STIG.
- Previous experience in setup and administration of enterprise scale Windows Active Directory Networks and Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) is also a plus.
- Security Technologies – Experience with analysis creation and implementation of security policies including the use of Microsoft Security Configuration and Analysis MMC Plug-in.
- Experience with group policy and the effect of security through the use of group policies.
- Experience using NSA guidelines to secure large Windows environments is very beneficial.
- This position requires considerable work outside of core hours and rotating on call responsibilities.
- Some limited travel may be required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
