Description: This position is a seven (7) year limited term appointment based upon the grant period of performance. The CTSA Specialist will serve as a direct support research administrative person hired to work with the program to track and evaluate seminars, workshops, annual reports, periodic project reports, program evaluations, proposal development and award management. They will be supervised by the Senior Project Manager. Primary Function of Organizational Unit: CTSA UM1 is a funded seven year grant managed by the Division of Research and Economic Development. DORED manages all aspects of the research enterprise for the university led by the Vice Chancellor for Research & Economic Development. The Division is made up of the Vice Chancellor's management team, the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Research and Compliance, the Office of Contracts and Grants, and the Office of IP Development and Commercialization. The Division's responsibilities include identification of funding opportunities; proposal development and preparation; proposal submission; research compliance oversight; project setup, monitoring, invoicing, and closeout; intellectual property protection and commercialization; managing subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, and material transfer agreements; and reporting to sponsoring agencies.
