We are looking for a talented Team Lead to join our team specializing in Remanufacturing for our Cummins location in Plainfield, Indiana.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:



  • Coordinates the activities of a group of employees in order to meet established production specifications and schedules including volume, cost, wastage targets and quality standards.

  • Monitor the performance and output of the team and assign tasks and inputs to ensure that work specifications, schedules, volume, cost, waste targets and quality standards are met.

  • Ensures team members are using and following process documentation where applicable as part of operator training and defect investigation.

  • Coordinates or communicates activities between shifts and team leaders, customer and supplier departments, and other support functions.

  • Assists management in organizing and coordinating headcount and overtime needs to meet production and delivery schedules.

  • Ensures on the job training and other training requirements are scheduled, completed, and documented

  • Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  • Train all team members on the safety and quality procedures and standards, and standardized work procedures.

  • Train new team members on existing and new process changes as necessary and maintain training log.

  • Carry out daily checks to ensure the equipment and machines are in safe working order, and operators are performing work in an ergonomically safe manner.

  • Take corrective action on all unsafe work conditions, including advising on how to improve ergonomically unsafe conditions.

  • Maintain APS and hour-by-hour boards and keep all information on the board fully updated, including post quality tracking charts and sheets, audit and maintain safety board and flexibility charts.

  • Allocate manpower according to the situation and team member skills. Cover for absenteeism where needed within the team, group, or department.


Compensation and Benefits


Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
