Social Media Coordinator (University) | Ohio University - Military Veterans

Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Manager of University Social Media, the Social Media Coordinator creates and posts day-to-day social media content on the following channels: main institutional, Alumni Association, Student Affairs and Diversity & Inclusion. This position will organize and populate the content calendar for their respective social media channels. They will take ownership of the social posting process, including copywriting, gathering and/or creating assets (photo, video, website, graphics, etc.), ensuring digital accessibility and OHIO brand guidelines and creating social media posts. Using Sprout Social, monitor day-to-day conversations and interactions with our audiences, including direct messages and questions. This position is located in Athens, Ohio. May occasionally work outside of normal office hours for on-campus activities, programming, etc., on an as-needed basis. Expectations of successful candidate will include: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently Professional written and interpersonal skills Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field Experience in social media content curation for a company or organization An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate's education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position, while also considering internal equity.
