HOW A CYBER SECURITY ARCHITECT - INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Cyber Security Architects are responsible for the overall maintenance of an organization's information technology security systems and protocols.
• They design and implement security measures for hardware, software, and network platforms to ensure protection from cyber-attacks and any other possible harmful intrusions that could compromise or damage an organization's data and network infrastructure.
• These architects assess existing cybersecurity systems and protocols and design and implement upgrades to existing measures as well as implementing new procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Associate's Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 5 years of experience
• Required Skillset:
  • Work across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts.
  • Deal with escalations. Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issues.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.
• Clearance Level: TS/SCI
• Required Certification(s):
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
  • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
    • May require additional security certifications within 30 days after start such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Location: On Customer Site
• Additional:
  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
  • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
  • Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $115,965 - $156,893. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
