Accounts Payable Clerk - Military Veterans

Location: Wellington (Hybrid)
Purpose:
Process accounts payable activities which include reconciling vendor statements, processing parts, complete goods, and all other invoices and maintaining vendor records. Preparing multiple invoices to be paid. Assist the Accounts Payable Team with daily activities.
Responsibilities:
o Reconciles vendor statements and requests any missing invoices from vendors
o Scan all invoices into system and destroy or file the paper copy as appropriate
o Enters all assigned vendor invoices into the dealer business system
o Verifies assigned invoices for accuracy, resolves discrepancies, ensures payment terms are followed, and calculates discounts as appropriate
o Obtains approval and distributes invoices as needed prior to processing payments
o Accurately maintains vendor records and various records for tax purposes (1099's or tax exempt forms)
o Assists other co-workers with related tasks as necessary within the Accounting Team.
Requirements:
o Experience with using Microsoft office Word, Excel and business system applications preferred
o Knowledge of agriculture equipment industry preferred, CDK
o Understands accounting fundamentals
o Ability to use standard desktop applications such as internet functions
o Ability to use the dealers business system and other programs specific to the position
o Ability to handle a large workload and meet deadlines
o High level of attention to detail and accuracy
o High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
o Associates Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred
o Team player
o Self motivated and eager to learn
o Must have a sense of humor
