Department Overview

This role reports to the Vice President of Sales for Pelco North America. Motorola Solution’s Video Security & Access Control Division (VS&A) is defining the future of the security industry through innovative end-to-end-solutions and award-winning AI based surveillance systems. Job Description

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals responsible for driving revenue growth and market penetration of Pelco products across the Central region of the United States (Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Kentucky). The RSD will leverage their leadership skills, strategic mindset and industry experience to achieve and exceed sales targets across their territory. They will spearhead the design and execution of the region’s sales priorities and are accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting. Their ability to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities and execute effective sales strategies - working closely with a channel of Distributors and Security Integrator partners - will be crucial to their success in this role. 

Responsibilities:


  • Lead, recruit and develop a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching and support to drive performance and achieve sales goals.


  • Meet and exceed sales targets for growth, orders, revenue, and margin.


  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to capitalize on market opportunities and drive revenue growth.


  • Identify key market segments, target customers, and emerging trends to expand Pelco's presence and market share within the region.


  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, partners, and distributors, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for their video security needs.


  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely follow-up, and effective management of opportunities from lead generation to closure.


  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, sales operations and other internal teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and product strategies.


  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.


  • Conduct regular business reviews with team and key channel partners to assess performance, identify opportunities, and address challenges.


  • Identify, recruit and develop new channel partners (security integrators, IT and technology resellers) to sustain and drive sales growth 


  • Drive Customer Satisfaction improvement as a key performance indicator.


  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, promoting a culture of integrity and professionalism within the sales organization.



Additional Skills  


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred)


  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and leading high-performing teams


  • Ability to travel minimum of 25%-50%, including by air


  • 2+ years of leadership and channel management experience (managing teams of sales professionals) 


  • Results-oriented with a passion for exceeding targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences


  • Strong understanding of video surveillance industry and familiarity with security technologies and solutions


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others


  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies


  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis




Basic Requirements

  • ​Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in sales and 2+ years experience leading sales teams
