Instructor - Psychology and Chemical Dependency Practitioner (Fall 2024 - Tenure Track) Salary: $53,736 Mohawk Valley Community College provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time, ten-month Instructor position in the School of Public and Human Services. This position will provide instruction for Psychology and Chemical Dependency Practitioner programs. Teaching faculty at MVCC have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the College mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our employees have an opportunity to make a difference in students' lives every day. Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings and over the Internet. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs. In addition to teaching human services courses, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement and facilitating student internship experiences. They serve as members of various School and College Committees. Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work (MSW) with NY State licensure (i.e., LMSW, LCSW) and NYS CASAC required.
