Our Team: The SC Johnson College of Business Information Technology (IT) department plays a critical role in the success of the College by providing the technology and systems required to fulfill the mission. Reporting directly to the Strategic Operations and Solutions Architect , the Specialist is responsible for providing operational management of a broadcast studio and multiple remote videoconferencing learning centers throughout the week and on class weekends. The Operations Specialist is part of a team of subject matter experts of all technology used in the studio and remote videoconferencing learning centers. This includes the resolution of all technical and non-technical issues, ranging from the simple to the highly-complex. This is an autonomous role that is responsible for consistently managing, delivering, and producing professional-level presentations for high-profile, business-critical live class sessions with limited to no supervision or assistance. In addition, the Studio Operations Specialist assists in the development, enhancement, and facilitation of training and broadcast delivery services to faculty, staff, and students at Johnson and Cornell. The incumbent in this position will be expected to work frequently scheduled weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) broadcasts throughout the entire year. Occasional travel to remote videoconferencing learning centers What We Need Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required with three (3) to (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional technical live and recorded event/broadcast experience. Experience with network infrastructure and protocols related to video conferencing. Technical knowledge of A/V and broadcasting equipment and operations , (cameras, microphones, lighting, live troubleshooting, software-based video meeting and streaming platforms, recording platforms, etc.). Project management and complex problem-solving skills and experience. Excellent customer service experience in a client-centered environment. A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, senior leadership, faculty, staff, students, and vendor personnel both in oral and written formats. Proven ability for superior service delivery both individually and as part of a team. Proven ability to work under stressful conditions and extreme time constraints while meeting critical deadlines in a fault-intolerant environment. Excellent documentation, organizational, and time-management skills with demonstrated initiative. Technical writing and videography skills with experience creating user-guides and training materials. Ability and initiative to conceptualize, design, and implement plans and custom solutions for dealing with a wide variety of technical, operational, and non-operational challenges. University Related Requirements: Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities, including communities of color. Experience working with diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing programs.
