Finance and Accounting Analyst - Military Veterans

The Finance and Accounting Analyst will be highly-skilled with expertise in revenue and expense forecasting, invoicing, and advanced proficiency in various financial software platforms. As a key member of our Finance and Accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing revenue streams, assisting in the month-end close process, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. In this highly visible role, you will assist in driving revenue and NOI to Plan across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities:


  • Invoicing Management: Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients/customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and streamline invoicing procedures.

  • Revenue and Expense Forecasting: Develop and maintain robust models for forecasting revenue and expenses based on historical data, market trends, and business projections. Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to drive financial performance.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and trend analysis. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management. Communicate financial performance metrics and key insights in a clear and concise manner.

  • System Expertise: Utilize advanced skills in Excel and proficiency in financial software platforms such as Sales Force, Oracle, NetSuite, OpenAir, Avalara, and Workday Adaptive to extract, manipulate, and analyze data effectively.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Recommend and implement automation solutions where applicable.

  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Participate in audits and assist in the development of policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.

  • Budgeting: Help drive creation and adherence to the budget while performing ad-hac variance analyses throughout the year.

  • Contracting & Contract Management: Assistance in contract writing may be required from time-to-time. An understanding of the revenue and expense implications of contract language is also required.

  • Resource Planning & Optimization: Ability to assist resource managers with resource and capacity planning, utilization, and optimization. Demonstrated ability to implement, enforce, and drive to KPI's that meaningfully impact business performance.

Skill Requirements:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in financial analysis, with a focus on invoicing and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and perform data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with financial software platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle, NetSuite, OpenAir, Avalara (sales tax) and Workday Adaptive.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • CPA, or other relevant certifications (optional but preferred).

Additional Job Requirements

  • Hybrid: This position will work onsite 3 days per week at our Tampa office. This is not Remote.
  • Experience and ability to work in a constantly changing, fast paced, deadline driven environment.
