Assistant Dining Facility Manager - Military Veterans

The description for the Assistant Dining Facility Manager position is provided below.  The Assistant reports directly to the Alternate Contract Manager for this project. 


a.   Directly responsible for overall dining facility operation.


b.   Plans menus, orders subsistence, and maintains required records.


c.  Conducts personnel meetings, classes, training, etc. in food preparation, safety, equipment operation and operator maintenance, and dissemination of job related information.


d.   Conducts sanitation inspections daily facility inspections, and constantly monitors food preparation and serving.


e.   Is responsible and accountable for all assigned equipment.


(1)   Ensures security.


(2)   Conducts frequent inventories.


(3)   Ensures equipment is operational by:


a)   Ensuring operator maintenance.


b)   Submitting appropriate work orders.


c)   Maintaining work order log.


f.    Monitor energy conservation and comply with pertinent regulations.


g.   Ensure compliance with Post Fire Prevention Regulations.


h.   Ensures the preparation and maintenance of  required forms/documenation.


i.    Direct supervision of Storeroom Clerks to ensure standards are met in the areas of:


(1)   Appropriate Signature Authority.


(2)   Receipt and inspection of rations.


(3)   Proper storage procedures.


(4)   Appropriate culling of perishable fruits and vegetables.


(5)   Proper tempering procedures.


(6)   Sanitation of subsistence storage areas.


(7)   Dating and labeling, and rotation of perishable subsistence.


 


Accomplish other duties as required by the Contract Manager.
