Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

Flowers Bakeries has an immediate opening for a high-performing AFH/Foodservice Territory Sales Representative.

The Territory Sales Representative (TSR) in the Away from Home (AFH)/Foodservice division plays a crucial role in driving sales in a specific geographical area. Their primary responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with Foodservice Operators and Distribution customers, identifying potential sales opportunities, and meeting revenue and volume targets. To achieve this, the TSR conducts sales visits, provides product demonstrations and distributor sales training, and ensures exceptional customer service to drive business growth. Overall, the TSR contributes significantly to Flowers Bakeries' success by promoting its products and services and maintaining its reputation in the market.

This position will require flexibility and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.

A TSR is responsible for creating and executing strategic sales plans to generate profitable revenue in their assigned territory. This includes activities such as prospecting, cold calling, and scheduling sales visits.

An effective TSR will identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and acquiring new customers, expanding the company's customer base.

 

An eagerness to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments, providing insights and recommendations to management to

support informed decision-making.

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record in a similar role (preferable in foodservice)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required. (50–70% of the week)
  • Experience negotiating customer terms and pricing agreements, leveraging strong communication and negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships

After 30 days of employment, employees (and their families) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, voluntary benefits such as long term disability and the company’s 401(k) plan.  Employees will accrue 9.23 hours of PTO per month.  PTO accrual increases with length of service. Employees receive 8 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.  Additional compensation includes the opportunity to receive bonuses based on both company and personal performance.
