Sr. Automation/Fire Alarm Technician - Military Veterans

Maintain equipment, and respond to and resolve service calls, providing technical support and troubleshooting for Honeywell customers. The products serviced include large commercial HVAC automation and controls systems and the computer networks associated with these systems, as well as having a Louisiana Fire Alarm License.  Additional responsibilities include the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and material work, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical and Job-Related Responsibilities.
  • Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including testing,
  • calibrating verify system and peripheral device operations as per preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.
  • Maintain customer system documentation with any configuration or model changes.
  • Collaborating within a team for system testing.
  • Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience with Building Automation and Fire Alarm.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring, interlock wiring, and software programming.
  • Valid driver's license.

WE VALUE:

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Honeywell installed systems HVAC product knowledge.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced delivery environment to meet schedules.
  • Good Customer Communication Skills.
  • Experience with system integration, networking, and software interfaces.
  • Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation and building facilities.
  • Expert in any one area but possesses basic cross functional products and systems knowledge (HVAC, FIRE).
  • Expert network and integration abilities to be able to work on multiple protocols like BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.
  • Ability to train, teach, mentor and coach Associate Install Technical Specialists and Install Technical Specialists and be the go-to person for complex system installations.
  • Tridium/BACnet experience a plus.
