Overview:
Applicant will be working with repeat and new customers to find products within the AAP portfolio that will work in new projects or customer products. In addition, applicants will be required to work with customers to solve problems with current business that may arise. This position is for the sales of Controls and Pneumatics components. The components are manufactured by our primary suppliers: SMC, Epson, Gast, Baumer, Panasonic, Lenze & Turck. This is business to business selling, not calling on private citizens.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and targets potential customers, services and maintains existing customers and improves customer relationships in order to increase market penetration.
  • Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, or other key personnel) and develops new accounts, maintains and increases current customer base.
  • Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility and/or contacting by phone as well as MS Teams video calls.
  • Develops in conjunction with management, sales strategies to sell applicable product lines and services and implements such in order to achieve predetermined annual sales target.
  • Visits customer facilities, maintains contact and consults in order to secure sales to existing and potential customers.
  • Analyzes and researches pertinent information in order to respond to Customer inquiries regarding product features and performance, product application, product substitution and special application requests.
  • Travel within specified Arizona based territory required.
Position Requirements: 
  • Proficiency in and ability to explain knowledge of industrial automation solutions
  • Proven experience identifying customer needs, negotiate deals, and close sales efficiently
  • Proven customer-centric approach, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements and satisfaction
  • Ability to work closely with sales teams, engineers, and other departments to achieve common goals
  • Ability to present technical information to diverse audiences, including customers and colleagues
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis to customer sites within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to travel overnight approximately 10% of the time
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to market trends
  • Proficient and disciplined in productive time management
  • Proven sense of urgency and accountability
  • Excellent customer relationship building skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office programs
  • A Strong “team attitude” with the ability to work productively in group settings with other associates, customers, and vendors.
  • A commitment to the concept of “doing it right the first time”.
  • Valid Driver’s License
