Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Leadership Development, the Educational Programs Coordinator will manage the administrative components of the Public Health Leadership Lab (PHL) program and play a significant student advisory role. They will also support other Office of Educational Programs (OEP) activities, focusing on the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program and Field Education and Practice. Under minimal supervision, the Coordinator will facilitate smooth workflows between OEP and many other offices within the School, anticipating and resolving issues requiring independent thought and action. Position Description Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to PHL with a focus on high-quality customer service; meet with and advise prospective participants, manage PHL application processes Coordinate on-boarding of new program instructors, teaching fellows, and coaches. Oversee teaching fellows Match students with volunteer coaches; collect and share coach bios and survey students. Set up and manage Canvas sites Track required paperwork and assignments and communicate with students regarding missing assignments or requesting deadline waivers Monitor completion of program requirements, work with students to develop actions plans for completion as needed, issue certificates of completion Design and administer surveys and program evaluation reviews, provide detailed data analysis, reporting, and data visualization, recommend program enhancements based on findings In conjunction with the Director of Leadership Development, refine PHL program policies and guidelines Lead and/or support program marketing and communications activities. Manage listservs, develop content, update program websites. Create promotional materials and implement outreach programs Manage logistics for PHL and other OEP events and workshops including arranging space, catering, supplies, and student communications. Coordinate with operations, catering, and technical support staff Manage vendor contracts and purchasing for program materials and events; gather and organize related financial documentation to ensure proper processing; monitor expenses; process student payments Monitor applications and documentation for various student funding opportunities; update and maintain funding policies and guidelines Other related duties as assigned including participation in programs across OEP PLEASE NOTE: This position requires occasional evening hours to support student classes and events. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered Additional Qualifications and Skills The following job-specific skills and competencies are preferred: College degree strongly preferred, or an equivalent of education plus relevant business experience 3+ years of related experience Excellent organizational skills -- effectively prioritizes work in an environment with multiple and conflicting interests Project and/or program management skills; experience with planning events Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Works well independently with minimal supervision. Handles complex and confidential information with discretion Competency using a variety of computer software Strong experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience working in databases (e.g., developing forms, reports, analysis, data visualization) The following cultural competencies are also preferred: Awareness of and aptitude to appropriately and effectively understand, respect, and adapt to cultural and identity-based difference within group environments Knowledge of and commitment to concepts and issues tied to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion Skills related to creating and supporting an environment that allows for inclusion, effective intercultural engagement, and personal humility and authenticity Additional Information Join the Harvard T.H.
