Process Technician (TEM) - Military Veterans

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a strong TEM Technician who has passion to learn TEM in our group. In this role, the individual will be responsible for:

  • Obtaining Bright Field, High resolution, diffraction patterns, and HAADF STEM images of different samples
  • Organizing data, prepare and deliver summary reports to BU engineers
  • Working with customers and team members to optimize experiments and explain results.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on TEM tool operation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding oral and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a positive way with peers and customers at all levels
  • Flexible work hour/day
  • Operate transmission electron microscope (TEM) to obtain high quality images pending on job assignment, identify all of patterns of interest, understand image quality requirement and sample/beam interaction to determine optimized condition.

Prepares graphs and tables summarizing results.

  • Understand basic transmission electron microscope (TEM)  principle. 

Responsible for all  technology products.

  • Perform basic TEM system alignment functions.  Perform routine maintenance procedures (fill LN et cl).
  • Interface with requestors, understand their detail requirement, and communicate on results.
  • Perform routine shut down procedure. Identify tool problems, put tool down and call for service.
  • Assists in training lower level technicians.
  • Develop and publish best known method (BKM) procedures including, sample prep, TEM operation manual, workflow and special sample handling.

  • Has developed advanced specialized expertise within a analytical/scientific area to perform the most complex work

  • Has a good understanding of how related teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve objectives

  • May act as a lead for the team, may allocate work and provide subject matter guidance to more junior team members

  • Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent

  • Impacts the effectiveness of own team and closely related teams

Interpersonal Skills

  • Exchanges ideas and information effectively; uses tact and diplomacy when dealing with others

U.S. Salary Range:

$33.20 - $45.65

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
