Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY: 

We are seeking an Admissions RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide pre-admission screenings to provide a complete medical assessment by collecting the medical history of the patient and ensure all necessary forms and insurance obligations have been completed. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner. 

 In this role you will: 

• Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process. 

• Support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel. 

• Serve as the advocate for the patient and family with respect to the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information. 

• Plan and implement patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient. 

• Evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; take appropriate action based on assessment of the patient. 

• Practice, develop and work with bed management to meet the goals of patient placement. 

Job Requirements:  

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred 

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required 

• BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required 

• ACLS required 

• Acute care experience with cardiac monitoring required 

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
