Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. We are seeking a facility security officer (FSO) to join our team to support various Navy customers' activities at one of our Pawcatuck, CT location. As an FSO supporting the Department of Defense (DOD), you will be trusted to support a variety of Naval contracts and build key relationships with your government counterparts. You will be part of a 5 person team supporting security needs for DOD programs across the globe.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Building relationships with the internal GDIT security organization as well as relevant government security personnel.
  • Administers and coordinates the DoD security program and other related security activities for an office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Provides guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of security procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management.
  • Conducts security briefings.
  • Develops and conducts security-related training programs.
  • Investigates security violations and recommends corrective actions.
  • Maintains liaison with outside agencies.
  • Assists employees in acquiring security clearance, when required.
  • Enters security information into automated system and develops related reports, as needed.
  • Manage physical security for a 95,000+ square foot industrial facility to include access control and camera system.
  • Supports classified information systems, as required.
  • Participates in special projects, as requested.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, plus a minimum of two years related experience in facility or industrial security administration; or six years total related experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • Competency in using automated systems, both internal and government, and building relevant reports, as needed.
  • Must have DISS and NISS
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of related experience in facility or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliant with a minimum certification of Security +; CISSP, CAP, CISA, CEH, CISM

The likely salary range for this position is $52,955 - $79,432. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
