Technical Architect/Solution Architect - Military Veterans

Amentum is seeking a Technical Architect/Solution Architect to support our Business Development Team in a hybrid capacity out of Chantilly, Virginia. Plan, coordinate and lead identification, development and organization of technical capabilities with development of business thrusts to optimize division's growth in selected technology areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Coordinate the directions of technical growth with development of business thrusts.

2) Identify and initiate liaison with potential technology customers.

3) Identify, investigate, and coordinate development of new application (market) areas for division's technical capabilities.

4) Establish and maintain liaison with other company divisions, other companies, organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies.

5) Perform the functions of a capture manager in assigned markets and business thrust areas.

6) Develop, coordinate and execute plans that involve the development of new work from existing contracts. Assist contract managers and their customers in doing the same.

7) Coordinate strategic alliances between similar customers resulting in additional business opportunities.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Excellent communication skills: interpersonal; organizational and analytical skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
