About the Program for Inclusion and Neurodiversity Education (PINE): The Program for Inclusion and Neurodiversity Education is an inclusion program that drives system-wide change. Through specially designed coursework, remote coaching, and practical downloadable tools, PINE helps deepen professional practice and shift school culture. PINE empowers school systems to embrace neurodiversity and transform inclusive practices. PINE partners with schools to establish a shared language and understanding of neurodiversity, changing how neurodivergent studentsand their neurotypical peersare supported. Responsibilities include: 1. Creating Virtual Professional Development (PD) Content and Educator Tools Design new coursework, trainings, and tools for PINE educators Collaborating closely with PINE's instructional design team to translate all content to the PINE Platform 2. Hosting PINE "Office Hours" Host virtual consultation sessions for PINE educators and teams over zoom Brainstorm with individual educators and school teams around student supports and/or classroom strategies. 3. Supporting Member Engagement Support new schools launching PINE, lead live onboard trainings for school teams Monitor how staff are engaging with PINE content by tracking engagement using monthly school reports Collaborate effectively with school building leaders to support PINE implementation 4. Collaborating with PINE Team Meet regularly with internal team to monitor program implementation Support with content development for annual virtual conference Valued Competencies: Creativity, collaboration, reliability, initiative, organization, understanding, professionalism, responsibility, and candor. Hybrid/Remote Work Policy: This position is mostly remote. The job duties for this position require minimal in-person interaction and can be performed remotely >90% of the time. Compensation: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. PINE is looking for an experienced educator and inclusion advocate who is committed to changing the way educators are trained and supported to join our dynamic team. Qualifications: MA or MS in education, special education, social work, speech language pathology or a related field, a minimum of five years' teaching or therapeutic experience with neurodivergent youth. Applicants must be experienced with and comfortable delivering professional development and school consultations virtually. Professional interest areas may include: Inclusion, neurodiversity, special education, strength-based & neuro-affirming practices, professional development, coaching/consultation, education and school-systems, educational technology, and online professional development.
