Early Childhood Teacher Assistant | The University of North Carolina at Greensboro - Military Veterans

Early Childhood Education Teachers Assistants in the Child Care Education Program will work in a classroom as part of the consistent teaching team. They are responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher with curriculum planning in classrooms for young children, maintaining licensing and accreditation standards, creating a respectful high-quality classroom environment, caregiving routines, classroom activities, supervising groups of children indoors and outdoors, and light housekeeping duties such as serving or cleaning after meals. Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY ; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK .

Preferred Qualifications

An Associates Degree in Early Childhood; or a related field or higher and 6 months of experience working in a licensed childcare setting; or a high school diploma with 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
