Boeing Ukraine LLC is currently seeking a Boeing Global Services Payloads Design Engineer Level 2 (Supply Chain Engineering projects) to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine.
BGS Supply Chain Engineering is responsible for providing engineering data and supports to the airlines, operators, BGS Supply Chain, and other Boeing teams on spare parts to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality. The candidate will need to be a team player who works well with subject matter experts and others toward a common goal. The candidate will need to have the ability to prioritize and complete work assignments in a timely manner. The candidate will need strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse individuals at all levels to address engineering and technical requests and develop and implement solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform payload analysis work at the sub component level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and requirements
- Guide a team of less experienced engineers and teach DE methodology
- Work closely with Team manager and Leads to assist other team members
- Work with project engineers, stress, suppliers and procurement to ensure approval of analysis
- Work and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are met
- Experience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changes
- Control and timely introduction of changes to the technical documentation according to production requirements
- Quality implementation of engineering documentation at the level of working and assembly drawings
- Being able to Interpret Industry/Company Standards & Processes
- Tools to be familiar with are CatiaV5 (high experience), Enovia, REDARS, ETAC, SDT, Bridge and other industry engineering tools
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- High Education Diploma is a must (Technical or aerospace is preferable)
- Advanced English is a must
- Fluent Ukrainian will be an asset
- 3+ years of experience in Structure and/or Payload Design Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial aircraft environment
- 2D & 3D design with knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, GD&T
- Experience in machined and hog-out option parts
- Experience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changes
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, basic physics and mathematics disciplines;
- Ability to comprehensively analyze complex design questions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of Design Engineering experience in commercial aircraft environment
- Master's Degree in related Engineering discipline
- 1+ year of experience leading engineering teams
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
