The University of Chicago's Biological Sciences Division (BSD) and Pritzker School of Medicine seek applications for tenure-track assistant professor positions in fields that lie at the interface of the University and the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, Massachusetts.Appointments are expected to be in one of three University of Chicago departments (Ecology and Evolution, Organismal Biology and Anatomy, Neurobiology) as well as relevant units at the Marine Biological Laboratory. Areas of interest are open and include (but are not limited to): biomechanics, developmental and regenerative biology, evolutionary developmental biology, neuroscience, ecosystem ecology, and microbial ecology and evolution. This search complements numerous department-based searches (see ); we encourage multiple applications to all searches of interest. The University of Chicago is an exciting center of scientific discovery and innovation, and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration and participation as a teacher and mentor for our trainees. Most university divisions and centers, including the Biological Sciences Division, University of Chicago Medical Center, Physical and Social Sciences Divisions, and Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, are contained within one compact campus in Chicago's vibrant Hyde Park neighborhood, where many faculty and students live. Competitive research space and start-up funding will be available, as will the potential for interactions with our off-campus affiliate, Argonne National Laboratory as well as nearby institutions such as the Field Museum of Natural History.
