Position description The Department of Radiology at UC San Diego ( http://radiology.ucsd.edu ) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The department is seeking Breast Imaging faculty. Candidates are expected to participate fully in all the clinical activities of the division and will be responsible for interpreting mammogram, breast US and MRI, image guided breast interventions, molecular breast imaging, lymphatic imaging and diagnostic radiology. The selected candidate(s) will teach fellows, residents, medical students, and visiting scholars and participate in division educational and administrative activities. UC San Diego Department of Radiology is one of the most innovative and productive academic departments in the country, offering state-of the-art services for clinical and translational studies. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate of Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must have demonstrated academic productivity and scholarship and exemplary clinical care and teaching in the field of breast imaging.
