Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Developer. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud and ongoing support of the Oracle PeopleSoft HCM (Human Capital Management) modules including Human Resources, Payroll for North America, Advanced Benefits, Commitment Accounting, Time and Labor, Self-Service Employee, Self-Service Manager, PeopleSoft Portal and Workflow. Among the key duties of this position are: The full development life cycle including the analysis, design, development and testing of application conversions, interfaces, extensions and customizations. Support integrations with Oracle Cloud financials, data warehouse and other third party packages such as Businessolver and Workplace Answers, and be involved in developing batch processes, online reports, security permission lists and new roles. Provide day-to-day support to UHR and Payroll as well as troubleshoot production problems and provide Help Desk support. Provide subject matter and technical expertise to junior staff. Play a key role in the transition from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM to Oracle's HCM in the Cloud suite of modules. Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A minimum of four years progressive experience in technical or techno functional capacity with implementation/supporting Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and/or Oracle HCM applications. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have experience with Oracle PeopleSoft modules such as HCM , Financials, and Campus Solutions and/or Oracle HCM /E-Business suite implementation and/or upgrade projects. Must have recent experience with the following: PeopleTools including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces and Application Packages SQR , XML /BI Publisher, PeopleSoft Query and Reporting, PeopleSoft Security Integrating data from disparate systems into/out of cloud based applications A good understanding of software SDLC Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: HCM Data Loader ( HDL ), HCM Spreadsheet Loader ( HSDL ), HCM Cloud fast formulas and Descriptive Flexfields Oracle Integration Cloud ( OIC ) experience including but not limited to creating integrations, connections, data mappings & look-ups in addition to implementing error management and cloud adapter Experience with building complex Apps Driven Orchestration, Scheduled Orchestration, File Transfer, Publish/Subscribe to OIC integrations Eclipse, CVS , JIRA , and Confluence UNIX scripting, developing web services: RESTful, SOAP , WSDL . Ability to understand complex, integrated, state-of-the-art and legacy computer systems.
