Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a experienced Systems Engineer to join a collaborative team! In this role you will contribute to a full system evolution for our customer. Replacing mission management software and infrastructure and some deployed devices; opportunity to modernize current processes.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production system compatible with the defined system architecture(s)
Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystems components
Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions
Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which systems and subsystems, and work products are verified against their requirements
Develop system design solution that satisfies system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis
Review and provide input to the program work breakdown structure (WBS) and integrated master plan (IMP)
Participate in interface definition design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle
Derive system and lower-level requirements based upon an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness
Plan verification and validation efforts
Develop scenarios and operational concepts that describe the interactions between the system, user, and the environment that satisfy operational, support, and maintenance needs
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Active TS/SCI clearance w/Polygraph
5+ years of experience on programs and contracts within the intelligence community; 3+ years specific to systems engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university
3+ years of experience implementing MBSE methodologies to include generation of enterprise models using the United Architecture (UAF) framework and system models using SysML
Experience using Cameo System Modeler to generate enterprise and system models on multiple programs
Effective writing, communication and interpersonal skills
