Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented full-stack software developers to join our team. We need our Engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new challenges across the full stack environment. This opportunity will be involved in quick reaction development with opportunities for customer interaction on a team that is focused on developing superior products and encouraging the career growth of its members.

We are looking for self starters to take the lead on overall software design and implementation. This includes providing replacement for existing capability while improving usability of the software, require less overhead for maintaining the codebase, and provide containerized / docker software services for many of the existing data source connections.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and develop computer software required to support hardware and technical service products

  • Review system architecture, and select and implement appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance, as well as test and debug related software

  • Providing our customers expertise to leverage their existing software and create new capabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Security, Information Technology, or related discipline

  • 5 - 10+ years of Software Engineering experience

  • Proof of US Citizenship is required

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance

  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux as a development environment (Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu)

  • Proficiency with one of the following programming languages: C++, Java, JavaScript

  • Proficient with Docker and/or Kubernetes

  • Experience using source code repository tools (Git, or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms

  • Familiarity with Linux system administration, package managers, and command-line based configuration

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient in multiple programming languages

  • Experience defining and documenting Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

  • Experience with front-end web technologies such as React, Node, Express

  • Experience documenting software/hardware knowledge for others using Wiki

  • Experience with distributed technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop

  • Experience working with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ansible, Helm

  • Experience working with Virtual Machines such as VMWare, RHEV/KVM, and VirtualBox

  • Exposure to Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Salary Range: 

$98,800.00 - $172,900.00
