Job Description:

Parsons is hiring Software Developers/Engineers whose role will be essential to the design, implementation, and delivery of high performance, secure, mission critical solutions. We seek engineers that are versatile, display leadership qualities, and are enthusiastic to tackle new challenges as we continue to provide the military with cutting edge tools. For this position, the Software Engineer will analyze, design, and implement advanced capabilities on multiple research & development and production projects at Aberdeen Proving Ground MD.  The candidate will be experienced in development of web enabled micro services and of dynamic, high performance web pages using the Angular framework and related technologies. ·          Using the latest front-end technologies to create adaptable interfaces for web applications

·          Building and implementing web user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular

·          Writing efficient, maintainable JavaScript, HTML and CSS code

·          Developing micro services in a containerized environment using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

·          Identifying, troubleshooting, and remediating issues with front-end and back-end code

·          Providing code performance analysis and optimizing the existing code base

·          Designing, implementing, and analyzing RESTful services and APIs

Core Qualifications:

·          Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline

·          A minimum of 2 years experience developing in JAVA and one or more of: Javascript / Typescript / Angular, Web Development technologies and architectures (ex: Angular, React, NodeJS, REST, Web Sockets, MongoDB, etc…), Microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, containerization)

·          Familiar with UML, Test Driven Development, Design Pattern Implementation, Agile Software Development

·          Familiarity with Git, code reviews and pull requests

·          Familiarity with DevOps concepts, including automated building and testing processes, and tools such as Maven

·          Knowledge of web-based services, containers, software architectures, languages, and tools

Must be a US citizen and have or be able to gain a security clearance

Hybrid Telework may be available

Desired Qualification:

·          Experience with or exposure to AI/Machine Learning technologies

·          Experience with JSON, XML

·          Experience using Atlassian developer tools such as Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket

·          Experience translating complex requirements into user experience

·          Experience with the Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE)

·          Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·          Certifications such as Security+

Salary Range: 

$79,100.00 - $138,400.00
