Job Profile Summary:
AppliedPRO is a data analytics software that provides recipe optimization to process tools at Applied Materials. The p rocess optimization engineer for AppliedPRO needs to cover the following responsibilities:
Increase AppliedPRO adoption rate in the field and at SCLA for all process engineers by providing AppliedPRO expertise Handles SW escalation and provides on-demand support to BU and field customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide insights to AMAT process engineers, which will help with process acceleration through the use of new proprietary software Assist with new technology adoption by ensuring a clear understanding of capabilities, training, and implementation of BU recommended actions. Assist with setting up a workshop to increase AppliedPRO adoption Manage AppliedPRO portal and assist with creating a training program Assist with presentation of analysis during high visibility management and customer review Serve as liaison between the customer and the business unit on evaluation of new software features and requests. Interfaces and coordinates to both division and customers to define project objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release and deployment. Support collection and definition of gaps in existing metrology capabilities to aid BU evaluations for new solutions. Assist upper management in the development of project plans and oversee from conception and planning to implementation, including strategy, process, and resource for advanced data-based projects. Ensures objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across multiple business units. Lead multifunctional project teams to complete projects. Provide technical input to team members to achieve project goals. Identifies potential complications within the project and develops solutions for resolution. Responsible for managing schedule and task details by utilizing project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists, etc
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, physics, chemistry, or materials required
Functional Knowledge:
- 3+ years of experience in 300mm semiconductor R&D and/or high-volume manufacturing preferred. 1+ year of experience with master’s degree or above.
- Process knowledge of 3 or more semiconductor processes on 1 or more technologies. Dry Etch and/or Metrology / Inspection knowledge preferred.
- Understanding of multi-factor Design of Experiment required (familiarity of JMP recommended)
- Ability to evaluate data from multiple sources to devise the necessary action plan.
- Experience in project management and data analysis.
- Ability to understand and communicate customer process challenges.
- General knowledge of programming (e.g. Python, Matlab, etc) is a plus but not required.

U.S. Salary Range:
$96,000.00 - $132,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
