Job Description:
Capture Director – Mission Solutions Sector (Remote)
Target Market: Includes, but not limited to, Air Force, Space System Command (SSC), Cape Canaveral
Location:
Preferred location is the greater Los Angeles, CA area. Opportunity to flex work location dependent on team needs and work but open to remote location with agreement to travel to California, or other locations, as required by the Capture opportunity.
Position Overview:
Position reports to the SVP for Mission Solutions Growth. Leads capture of major new business pursuits within Parsons’ Mission Solutions sector to exceed growth metrics primarily in our Space Launch/Integration market, and/or other markets as assigned. Candidate drives win strategy, teaming selection, staffing resource input, past performance, and relevant solutions for new/re-compete opportunities. Major client accounts within the Space acquisition directorates include DoD, NASA, NOAA, Intelligence Community or Commercial/ International markets.
The Capture Director works in collaboration with Business Development, Solutions Architect, and Senior Leadership in the identification, qualification, pursuit & shaping, proposal development, winning and follow-through of new business opportunities. Prepares and responds to customer requests including Evaluation Notices, Final Proposal Requests, contract negotiations, Best And Final Offers, and other proposal clarifications.
Requirements:
15+ years diversified experience in capture leadership and/or Business Development. Drives new business opportunity growth pursuits from Identification through to Award.
Current Top-Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI
Technical or Business degree (or equivalent); Advanced degree preferred
Demonstrated understanding of the competitive landscape and established relationships in Space acquisition directorates in one or more of the following Government entities: DoD, NASA, NOAA, Intelligence Community. Commercial/International market experience a plus.
Proven track record of successful captures at $100M+ level with one or more of the primarily customers
A thorough understanding of proposal position to win (PTW), competitive assessment, rate analysis, proposal pricing, risk and opportunity management, contract terminology, negotiations with customer and Industry partners to quickly drive Teaming Agreements/sub-contracting
Performance leading diverse teams , direct and matrix staff members supporting on assigned capture and proposal efforts.
Experienced in Profit Growth Strategies, ROI, Value Proposition & Profit Optimization
Strategic Planning in areas of growth with position primary customer-focus
Knowledge of primary customer focus acquisition processes and procedures
Must be willing and able to travel, as required, 10-20%.
Keen understanding of the Customer, the Opportunity, the Competition, our Value Proposition, and Resources.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including negotiation skills to communicate capture status and recommendations across internal senior management, customers and major subcontractors
Desired Candidate Traits:
Ability to translate detailed technical information into appropriate executive level briefings and info exchanges. You are comfortable with briefing SVPs, EVPs, and C-Suite leaders.
Persistent problem solver with a tenacious drive to Win.
Demonstrated ability to identify, manage and grow pipelines of $1B+
Able to develop budgets and manage pursuit and bid dollars effectively.
Ability to act as a Parsons ambassador to support participation in applicable Space conferences, exhibits and industry engagements to promote Parsons’ capabilities
