Be on the Cutting Edge! Work with a team to provide a collaborative process of engaging patients with substance use disorders by facilitating a warm handoff from the emergency department or physician's office, inpatient hospital, or state or county correctional systems. You will facilitate access to substance use treatment, available community resources, and 12-step information and locations. Use your effective communication skills in educating the client/patient and family in the skills necessary to obtain supports to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and recovery from substance use disorders. You will also provide outreach follow-up to patients and family members after their hospital stay when appropriate. The work you do makes a tremendous impact!

One year of recent clinical experience in substance abuse treatment
-
18 months of personal sustained recovery

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

Excellent verbal, written, computer, and clerical skills

Successful completion of the Certified Recovery Specialist 54-Hour Training Program

Successful completion of the Pennsylvania Certification Board CRS

Signing of an ethical code of conduct

Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
