Industrial Controls Electrician - Military Veterans

Our client is seeking a skilled electrical troubleshooter to serve as their Industrial Controls Electrician to oversee wiring and electrical work within their electrical engineering department. This role will be onsite at their lab in Atlanta, where the individual will be responsible for wiring, installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems that go into their state-of-the-art industrial recycling systems.
This role requires roughly 20% travel (1-2 trips per month that can last 1-4 days at a time) to client sites, where you will assist the Engineering Manager with the effective installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of this company's advanced recycling systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in electrical schematics, and some experience with or exposure to variable frequency drives (VFDs) or programmable logic controllers (PLCs), other critical components of the recycling systems ,along with a strong commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of electrical schematics and troubleshooting to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of recycling systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency
Safety and compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect team members and clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on job sites to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among contractors and team members
Reporting and documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting documentation
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports to management, highlighting key issues, resolutions, and recommendations
Base salary $80K ? $95K DOE a full benefits package is offered to employee as needed to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and so on. $50 per diem, and all travel costs are covered by the company.
