Network Engineer - Military Veterans

A² Systems Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking a senior Network Engineer who will apply their knowledge and expertise to provide technical engineering support for satellite and ground network systems for the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). The candidate will work within a dynamic team environment, interfacing with various project stakeholders, to assist the Government in performance of the following functional duties. The work location is in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support for global Department of the Navy and/or DoD networks
• Design, optimize, troubleshoot, and manage hardware and software components in a multi-enclave network
• Lead network architecture design, analysis, testing and implementation activities
• Perform management, reduction, and analysis of data
• Design tests and laboratory analyses including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results
• Manage network design and development to modify and improve functionality and manage testing, troubleshooting, and installing network systems

Experience and Education Requirement:

• Minimum 9 years hands-on experience in networking technologies and preferably supporting government networks
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a tech-related field such as computer science, information systems, electrical engineering or a related field

Clearance:

• Minimum Secret security clearance; TS/SCI clearance preferred

Salary: $125,000.00 – $137,000.00 per year. Base pay offered is determined by various factors based on established government contract wages, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
