Lecturer in Music (Introduction to Electro-Acoustic Music) - Military Veterans

The Department of Music at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for MUS 107a I ntroduction to Electro-Acoustic Music , a four credit course in Fall 2025 . This course is designed to give students basic studio skills and a context for listening to and working in electronic music. Topics include basic acoustics, sound design, digital and analog recording techniques, and electroacoustic repertoire in Western art and popular music. Involves hands-on experience in the use of MIDI-controlled synthesizers, samplers, production equipment, and includes individual studio projects based on individual studio time.  The class meets two times a week. Candidates with a doctoral degree in music composition and two years or more of teaching experience in electronic music related course will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is March 15th, 2025.
