Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 35 Standard Work Schedule: Building: 1111 Westchester Avenue, White Plains NY Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking a Nurse Practitioner. In this role, you will participate in providing the highest level of care to patients. This position will involve working at a new, large multi-specialty medical practice in Westchester White Plains, adjacent to New York City. Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for the following job duties: Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and professional practice in collaboration with members of the health care team and in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory agency requirements. Perform and document comprehensive surgical, medical and psychosocial health histories, examinations (document pertinent positive and negative findings), and initiate/maintain a problem/medication list. Order and interpret diagnostic studies including but not limited to laboratory and imaging studies, diagnostic impression, and/or form a differential based on the subjective and objective data obtained. Facilitate hospital admissions, transfers, and discharges as well as coordinate appropriate inpatient and outpatient accommodations and home-care. Coordinates patient care activities, based on established priorities, including teaching, counseling, and discharge planning, and directs/delegates appropriately to members of the health care team. Perform phone triage for acute clinical issues and conduct phone assessments as required per protocol and prescribe treatment as needed. Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications Requires Master?s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus one to two years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Pediatric Cardiology inpatient or outpatient experience. 3 years of related NP experience. Computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new applications. Possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented. Other Requirements Current NYS NP License, maintain and renew when necessary. (NP?s are required to have a NYS license to qualify for the position). Current NYS RN License. NP Board Certification (FNP or PNP). DEA License. BCLS and PALS certification.
