A Test Technician is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Phoenix, AZ area. This role conducts reliability studies, performs functional and qualification testing on aircraft components, and ensures compliance with engineering specifications through data analysis, troubleshooting, and test equipment operation.

responsibilities:
- Support the development, coordination, and execution of technical reliability studies.
- Evaluate engineering design concepts and analyze reliability test plans.
- Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve product reliability.
- Compile and analyze performance reports for evaluation.
- Plan, assemble, disassemble, rework, and conduct engineering development and qualification tests on aircraft components and systems.
- Analyze and evaluate test results to ensure required parameters are met.
- Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to maintain product specifications and tolerance levels.
- Perform functional testing per part-specific pre-established test procedures.
- Monitor tests through completion, record test data, and maintain test equipment.
- Document acceptance or failure results based on test outcomes.
Skills:
- Utilize computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.
- Demonstrate initiative to keep processes on track and on schedule.
- Train others in technical tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with other functional groups to resolve business-related issues.
- Participate in waste minimization efforts and audits.
- Request tools and supplies as needed for project requirements.
