Graphic Designer (Part-Time), Marketing and Communications Position Information Position Title: Graphic Designer (Part-Time), Marketing and Communications Department: VPSL Marketing, Communications and Outreach Posting Link: https://www.ubjobs.buffalo.edu/postings/55979 Job Type: Part-Time Posting Detail Information Position Summary The University at Buffalos Division of Student Life, Department of Marketing, Communications and External Engagement seeks to hire a part-time Graphic Designer to join their team in Buffalo, NY. We are looking for a team-oriented, results-driven, artistic professional capable of creating innovative design solutions in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will: Work under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Experiential Design to support exceptional programs and initiatives that help enhance the UB experience for students. Consult with and guide Student Life units to help them achieve their communications goals. Act as a creative problem-solver to develop original visuals in print, digital, and environmental mediums. Use your creativity to devise design solutions that resonate with target audiences while upholding the University at Buffalo brand and its associated standards. Manage production of art assets and oversee project implementation with campus and external partners for optimal results. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree with 2 years of experience or Bachelors degree with 0 year of experience or A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree on a year for year basis Knowledge of typography, typesetting, current design standards and trends, as well as printing and production techniques. Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team and with external partners. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree with 3-4 years of demonstrated marketing or advertising design experience in print, web, and/or environmental mediums. Efficient, outcome-driven; ability to be nimble, accept feedback and iterate in a fast-paced environment. Experience with project management software. Knowledge of emerging technologies.
