Key Responsibilities:



The HR business partner model is to integrate HR professionals more thoroughly into business processes and to align their day-to-day work with business results. The HR Partner is a thought leader aligning HR strategies with business unit objectives. They partner with functional business teams to establish and implement HR programs/initiatives fostering organizational and people development and achieve the business teams’ goals. The HR Partner is skilled in building effective relationships with employees at all levels of an organization as well as union leaders and HR colleagues. They have a demonstrated ability to create and execute successful programs which contribute positively to a business’s people and culture goals. Key skills and abilities include coaching, change management, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.



Strategic partnership and Alignment





  • Develop and sustain positive partnerships across the organization to provide HR services that support the achievement of the business objectives of the organization


  • Maintain a high level of business acumen about the business unit’s core function, financial position, mid-range plans, culture and goals.


  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to curate a strong, diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.




Thought Leadership





  • Gather insights from business unit trends and metrics to create solutions, programs and policies that enhance HR’s role in achieving organizational objectives




Organizational Design & Effectiveness





  • Partner with the business unit to assess and effectively address human resources needs in organizational design, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, compensation, and career, and leadership development


  • Identify knowledge gaps, causes, develop solutions and share findings with other HR teams to craft best practices.




HR Generalist





  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase efficiency and retention


  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues


  • Offer performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary/corrective actions)


  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, appropriately reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance


  • Collaborate with legal department, and labor relations as needed/required


  • Provide HR guidance and interpretation in dealing with employee relations issues




Development





  • Assist leadership in managing talent, performance and compensation processes to develop skills value the business values, and assess their impact on effectiveness


  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs success




Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):





  • 4+ years of experience in general HR management and/or a business partner role


  • Broad knowledge of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Conflict Resolution and Organizational Effectiveness


  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations


  • Strong analytical skills


  • Ability to story-tell using data


  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills


  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Experience in employee development, coaching, organizational design, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, training, and HR project management and program execution


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and build trust at all organizational levels


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship


  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification


  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • PHR or SHRM-CP


  • Leadership experience


  • Experience leading a unionized workforce



The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
